Used Cars Under $5,000 in Las Vegas
Cars under $5,000 are the hardest thing to find in Las Vegas, and the first to sell. Most weeks we have one or two at that price and several more just above it, cheapest first, with every dealer fee shown on the car.

What $5,000 buys in Las Vegas right now
At this price you are usually looking at an older sedan, a high-mileage SUV or a small work vehicle. That is not a bad thing. A well-kept 15-year-old Toyota or Lexus with records is often a better buy than a newer car nobody looked after. What you give up is cosmetics and mileage, not necessarily reliability.
Because these cars sell quickly, the list above is the honest picture of today. If nothing fits, the cars just above $5,000 often fit the same budget once a trade-in or a down payment is counted.
What the price does and does not include
Our listed price is the vehicle price before dealer fees. The fees are listed on every car: $695.00 documentation, $28.25 title and $29.00 smog test, $752.25 in total. A car listed at $4,500 comes to $5,252.25 before tax, license and registration, which depend on where you live. Ask us for the out-the-door number before you come in and we will give it to you.
How to buy a cheap car without buying a problem
- Look at the tires, the fluids and the paperwork before the paint.
- Ask what we did to it. We recondition what we sell and will tell you what was done.
- Drive it on the freeway, with the air conditioning on. In Las Vegas that is the test that matters.
- Read the vehicle history report. It is free on most of our listings.

Can you finance a car under $5,000?
Sometimes. Some lenders set a minimum loan amount or a maximum vehicle age, which rules out many of the cheapest cars. Because we work with several lenders instead of one, we can often find one that fits. Financing is subject to lender approval. If paying cash is easier, many customers buy at this price outright. Common questions
Do you have cars under $3,000?
Rarely, and they sell the same day when we do. Call and ask what came in this week.
Can I trade in my current car toward one of these?
Yes, and you do not have to buy from us to sell to us. See Trade Your Car.
Can I hold a car until I get there?
Call us. Cheap cars move fast, so the sooner you call, the better your chance.
What if I need more room in the budget?
See our cars under $10,000, which has many more choices.
