- Altima, Sentra and Versa: the Altima is a roomy midsize sedan, the Sentra the compact, and the Versa the smallest and cheapest to run. Some Altimas from 2019 on have all-wheel drive, which is unusual for a midsize sedan.
- Kicks, Rogue and Murano: the Kicks is a small crossover that is light on gas, the Rogue is the compact SUV, and the Murano is a larger, quieter midsize SUV with a V6.
- Frontier: a midsize pickup that is easier to park than a full-size truck. Since 2020 it has a 3.8-liter V6 with a nine-speed automatic, and it was fully redesigned for 2022. A King Cab has small rear doors and a longer bed; a Crew Cab seats five.
- NV cargo vans: the NV1500, NV2500 HD and NV3500 HD are full-size work vans with the engine under a truck-style hood out front, and a V6 or V8. Nissan stopped building them after the 2021 model year, and Nissan dealers still service them. See all our used work vans.
- Leaf: an all-electric hatchback. Its range depends on the battery's health, and the Leaf's battery is air-cooled, so Las Vegas heat wears it faster than a mild climate does. Check the battery capacity bars on the dash: twelve is the most, and each missing bar means less range. Nevada does not smog-check electric cars, so there is no emission fee on one.
What to check on a used Nissan
- The CVT. Most Nissan cars and SUVs use a continuously variable transmission (CVT). On the test drive, pull away from a stop and merge onto the freeway: it should feel smooth and quiet. A shudder, slipping or a loud whine is a reason to pass. Ask whether the CVT fluid has been changed on schedule. The Frontier and the NV vans use a regular automatic instead.
- The A/C. Run it at full blast for the whole drive. In a Las Vegas summer you will use it every day. See buying a used car that can handle Las Vegas heat.
- Tires and battery. Desert heat ages both quickly, whatever the odometer says.
- Open recalls. Enter the VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. Recall repairs are free at any Nissan dealer.
How pricing works here
Every Nissan shows the vehicle price with our dealer fees listed under it: $752.25 in total for documentation, title and smog, and less on an electric car, which needs no smog check. Tax, license and registration are extra. See dealer fees in Nevada for what each one covers.
Common questions
Are you a Nissan dealership?
No. Charlie Cheap Car is an independent used car dealership. We choose and price our own used Nissans alongside other makes. For factory warranty work or recall repairs, any Nissan dealer can help.
Can I finance a Nissan with bad credit or no credit?
Often, yes. We work with lenders who look past a credit score, including after a repossession and for first-time buyers. Financing is subject to lender approval. See bad credit car loans.
Can I trade in my car?
Yes, even one you still owe money on. See Trade Your Car.
Is the Nissan I saw online still there?
Our inventory changes every week. Call (702) 471-1549 before you drive over and we will confirm it is still on the lot.
